Storage
Store frozen steak cases above chicken and below ready to eat products in the walk-in cooler.
Open the Case
Open the case as shown above to allow airflow onto the steak.
Label
Place a 'Steak Thawing' label on the box. Steak will take 2-3 days to thaw.
Emergency Quick Thaw Procedure
Place bags of frozen steak in a pan.
(2 bags shown in a half pan above.)
Run a constant thin stream of cold water over the steak.
Check the steak every 15 minutes until it becomes thawed.
